Pandit Satypal "Pathik" Ji

About the Author

Pandit Satypal "Pathik" Ji was born on 13th March 1938 in Village Dulam Kalwan, Tehsil Pasrur, District Sialkot (Undivided India), to Shri Lalchand Ji and Mata Karmadevi. He later became widely renowned across India and abroad for his devotional bhajans and spiritual contributions.

His compositions are not only sung by bhajan preachers but are also cherished and hummed by common devotees as part of their daily spiritual practice.

The tragedy of the Partition of India deeply affected his family, after which they settled in Amritsar. From an early age, he was deeply influenced by Arya Samaj values and Vedic philosophy, which became an integral part of his life.

He had a deep interest in self-study and read more than 3,500 books in various languages. He began writing bhajans in 1956, and his compositions remain a significant part of Arya Samaj programs even today.

Since 1982, he dedicated himself completely as a bhajan preacher, spreading the message of Maharishi Dayanand across India and abroad. His writings are principled, inspirational, and filled with spiritual wisdom. It is a matter of great pride that his son, Pandit Dinesh "Pathik" Ji, is continuing this legacy.

Biography

Since childhood, my father kept me connected with Arya Samaj, and attending weekly satsang every Sunday was a regular practice. Inspired by him, my interest in music developed at an early age, and I began learning music formally from him as well as from skilled maestros, eventually starting my journey in singing.

I completed my M.A. in Music and, after finishing my B.A., I worked for nearly 18 years as a Store Manager in multinational companies such as Reebok, Nike, Adidas, and VIP Industries Ltd.

In the year 2021, I left my job completely to dedicate myself to the promotion and propagation of Arya Samaj. Since then, I have been serving through bhajans across India and abroad.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to perform bhajan seva in places like Mauritius, the United States (New York, Atlanta), South Africa (Durban), and Nairobi (Kenya).

At present, my son Vivek "Pathik" is also carrying forward this sacred tradition, making the third generation actively involved in spreading Arya Samaj bhajans.

Vivek "Pathik" Ji represents a rich tradition of devotional music that has been continuously promoting the principles of Arya Samaj and Vedic philosophy for three generations. Under the guidance of his grandfather, Pandit Satypal "Pathik" Ji, and his father, Pandit Dinesh "Pathik" Ji, he imbibed the values of bhajan music and spirituality from an early age.

His melodious voice, impactful presentation, and dedication to music have earned him a distinct place among young bhajan preachers. By blending traditional bhajans with a modern style, he is successfully connecting the younger generation with the path of devotion.

Today, he is spreading the message of Arya Samaj through bhajan singing across India and abroad, proudly carrying forward this glorious legacy as the third generation.
